Hi, doggy! The Music Box presents a midnight screening of the 2003 Tommy Wiseau instant cult classic that introduced the world to spoons, the slow jam "You Are My Rose" and Denny the kidult. Vitaminwater Uncapped @ MCA Warehouse

Vitaminwater Uncapped offers some alternative programming down the street from Pitchfork Music Festival July 15-17 at the MCA's warehouse, 1747 W. Hubbard St., from 4pm to midnight. Tonight's lineup includes Kill the Noise, Bird Peterson, Dani Deahl, Zebo and Orville Kline, plus yoga, live graffiti art and a pop-up Allsaints shop. Complimentary vitaminwater drinks and snacks provided. It's free with RSVP.

Alien Queen: The Concert @ Metro

A tribute concert to Queen mashed up with a spoof of the 80's sci-fi Alien films. Includes a pre-show installment of "The Game Show Show...and Stuff. Doors open at 10pm, tickets start at $16. For more information call 773-549-0203 or visit Metro.

Windy City Ribfest

Uptown's third annual Windy City Ribfest brings local and national barbecue teams to Lawrence and Broadway July 15-17 to cook up ribs for the masses, while music fills the air. A suggested $5 donation gets you in the door. The fest runs from 5pm to 10pm tonight, with How Far to Austin playing at 5:45pm and Cowboy Mouth playing at 8pm.

6 String Social: Women of Rock @ Old Town School

The Old Town School of Folk Music presents the latest in their series of 6 String Socials, the weekly Friday night jams at the school's 909 W. Armitage location. Tonight's subject: Women of Rock. Instructor Shelley Miller leads the group through a number of songs written or performed by women. Six String Social starts tonight at 6:30pm; admission is $5. Details at the OTS Website.

Brewers BYO @ Logan Square Kitchen

Beats, Rhymes & Life Film Debut
