Detour

Mark Greenberg and the Coctails have been in rehearsal for two reunion shows (though they've done it so often they no longer use that term) this week. When he isn't practicing, Mark makes his own music in a studio packed with strange and exotic instruments.

The Coctails play a free set at Rotofugi, 1953 W. Chicago Ave., Thursday, Dec. 15, at 7pm to celebrate the release of a new line of Coctails action figures by band member and artist Archer Prewitt.

Then, on Sunday, Dec. 18, the band hits the stage at the Abbey Pub, 3420 W. Grace Ave., for what is becoming an annual "reunion" show. Doors open at 8pm. Holiday Music (that's the band, not the genre) opens.
