Christie Hefner

Christie Hefner, Chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises, will be speaking tonight at DePaul about her political activism, her leadership of Playboy Enterprises, and how they intersect. It stands to be an interesting conversation dealing with role of women in the media, business, and politics. After her discussion, there will be a question-answer session led by three DePaul students. Sound interesting? Evironmental Justice: Lessons from the Love Canal

Once again, the DePaul Forum on Nature and Culture will be participating in Earth Week. This year's speaker is Lois Gibbs, the Executive Director for the Center for Health, Environment and Justice. She will give an address, titled "Lessons from the Love Canal," focusing on her work speaking for people harmed by hazardous waste sites. The 7pm address will be at DePaul Corteyou Commons, 2324 N. Stories on Stage @ MCA

Chicago Public Radio presents the latest in its Stories on Stage series of live readings. Tonight's program is "Timewarp," which features a trio of stories containing flashbacks. Neil Gaiman interview @ University of Chicago

Neil Gaiman, author of the best-selling DC Comics "Sandman" series, will be interviewed tonight at 7:00 at the University of Chicago's Court Theatre by WBEZ on-air personality Gretchen Helfrich. Tickets are $15, or $5 for students with ID. But really, if you've waited till tonight to get your tickets, you're very probably out of luck.
