The Illinois Humanities Council, via its Public Square initiative, is sponsoring a panel discussion on hip hop activism, featuring Jeff Chang, whose Canít Stop Wonít Stop: A History of the Hip Hop Generation won the National Book Award this year.The panel also includes UIC Assistant Professor David Stoval, and Lavie Raven, founder of the University of Hip Hop.
