Gapers Block's monthly GB Get-Together is tonight at the original Billy Goat Tavern, 430 N. Michigan Ave at Lower Level (near Tribune Towers and Wrigley Building), from 9pm to around midnight. Join us for drinks, hobnobbing and warmth. Get your Cheezborger!
Tonight at the Double Door, you don't have you show your ta ta's to enjoy 4 bands for $12 (that's $3 per band FYI). 56 Hope Road, Family Style, Bumpus and John Wasem play tonight starting around 9pm. The night's music will sure be an eclectic mix ranging from jazz-infused rock to improv to rock rock. The music flows like the beer, one band to the other. Head. On. Out.
This is the last weekend to catch "Ceremony of Innocence" at the Evanston Arts Depot. "Ceremony of Innocence" by Ronald Ribman is an award-winning play about the 11th Century English king, Ethelred the Unready, who ruled during an age of violence and uncertainty. The play is the inugural production of the Idle Muse Theatre Company. Performances begin at 8pm on Friday amd Saturday and take place at the Evanston Arts Depot, located at 600 Main St. in Evanston.
