Jello Biafra @ Lakeshore Theater

Jello Biafra, former lead singer of the Dead Kennedys and founder of the classic punk label Alternative Tentacles, will be performing at the Lakeshore Theater tonight at 7:00 PM. Biafra has made a career for himself as a spoken word performer, speaking out against government injustice and hypocrisy wherever it exists. International Festival Of Life

The 14th annual African/Carribean International Festival of Life, a celebration of cuisine and music from all over the world, is underway in Washington Park, at the corner of 55th Street and Cottage Grove. 10 AM to 10 PM; $10 for adults, $5 for children. Today's concerts include Beenie Man and Inner Visions.

And Now For Something Completely Different @ Film Center

The Gene Siskel Film Center presents a screening of four essential Monty Python films during the month of July. Today's film is And Now For Something Completely Different, the cinematic version of a number of classic Python sketches from their TV series. The film screens this afternoon at 3:15 PM.
