Theater on the Lake: Three Sisters

The Chicago Park District's Theater on the Lake series of plays continues this evening. Each week a new play will be offered at the Theater on the Lake stage at 2401 N. Lake Shore Drive. This week's play is Chekhov's Three Sisters by the Strawdog Theatre Company. This play will be performed Wednesday, July 19 through Sunday, July 23. Showtime is 7:30 PM (6:30 PM on Sunday evenings). Tickets are $17.50 and can be purchased by calling the box office at (312) 742-7994. The Theater on the Lake series runs through August 13.

Racism and Reparations @ Thousand Waves Martial Arts and Self Defense Center

Charles Mills, a philosophy professor at UIC Chicago, and Salim Muwakkil, award-winning journalist and In These Times senior editor, will discuss the movement for slavery reparations in the context of fighting racism.
