The Wire and the Empty Bottle present the fourth annual Adventures in Modern Music, a 5-day concert series taking place at the Empty Bottle. Tonight's concert features Edan, with special guest Dagha; Badgerlore, the musical improv group featuring Ben Chasny and Rob Fisk; Hive Mind from Detroit; and Load Records band The Coughs. The show starts at 9:00 PM; tickets are $15, and can be purchased online at the Empty Bottle website. The new orchestral composition, "Nu Art Claiming Earth," has its US premiere at 6 PM. Tonight, 10 French musicians from Bordeaux, 20 Chicago jazz artists, and 20 Chicago public school and college students join Orchestra Infinity to perform this Basque, West African, West Indian, North African, and Afro-American-influenced work.
