The Fly @ Film Center
The Gene Siskel Film Center is running a series of science fiction films through the end of the year. This week's film is the 1986 David Cronenberg remake of The Fly. Office Max has flown Eugene, Oregon resident Steve Milton and his 4,000+ pound, 5-1/2-foot high rubber band ball to Chicago for an official ceremony today at the corner of State & Jackson at 11:00 to induct Milton into the Guinness Book of World Records for creating the world's largest rubber-band ball. Why fly him to Chicago? Well, Office Max is remodeling its stores, including 11 Chicago-area locations, and... well, they just did. Okay.
